Founded in 1997, Happy Tails Pet Center has grown from a small grooming shop into a welcoming community hub for pets and their people. Over the years—and through three moves—we’ve continued to build our shop around a love for animals, creativity, and helping pets look and feel their best. We care deeply about health and nutrition, offering only high-quality foods, supplements, treats, and one of the largest frozen food selections in the area. Our toy wall is a customer favorite, packed with fun options for every kind of chewer or player. While we cater mostly to dogs and cats, we also carry food and select supplies for small animals. Whether you’re here for grooming, nutrition guidance, training advice, or simply to spoil your pet, our team is always happy to help.

Rene’ – Owner

Rene’ keeps Happy Tails running behind the scenes—receiving shipments, organizing the shop, and helping customers whenever she’s in. She’s passionate about creativity, drawing, and music, and outside the shop you’ll often find her on her motorcycle, adventuring with her Doberman, or competing in dog sports. Together they enjoy conformation showing (owner-handled), dock diving, scent work, and trips to Idaho for lakeside walks and quiet sunsets. At home, Rene’ is equally entertained by her spicy tortie cat, who insists on living life strictly on her own terms.

DeAnna – Manager

As the friendly face customers see most, DeAnna has been a cornerstone of Happy Tails since August 2006. She’s known for helping people find exactly what they need—and for her beloved Border Collie, Hoot, who many customers stop by just to visit. Hoot is always up for a fast-moving ball game or a well-earned treat. DeAnna lives the true farm life in Colton with her horse Fancy Pants, her donkey Maribel, plus a goat, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. She loves gardening—especially her impressive dahlia collection—and enjoys the peaceful country life. She adores her job, her customers, and the sense of community they bring.

Brynn – Groomer

Our groomer since February 2011, Brynn brings skill and genuine love to every grooming appointment. She now focuses exclusively on dogs and is adored by clients for her calm approach and beautiful results. She is proudly owned by two Chihuahuas, Kirby (the mischievous one) and Cheddar (the sweetheart). Brynn and her partner Eric love traveling to Hawaii, exploring Oregon and Washington’s scenic trails, discovering local food spots, and cheering on the Blazers.

Deena – Visiting Groomer

Deena brings decades of grooming experience to Happy Tails, joining us for a few days every 6–8 weeks. A former grooming competitor, she travels from out of state to work with our clients—and we’re always thrilled when she’s here. She’s owned by two adorable poodle mixes and is incredibly proud of her son, who serves in the Air Force. Deena is known for her stunning creativity, from crafting to the beautifully decorated cookies she regularly makes for Airmen and their families. When she’s not grooming or baking, you’ll likely find her on the pickleball court—her newest obsession!
